hi all; if you want to upgrade you may have to do what i did for the 410.66 drivers and download the i386 versions and libs as they keep timing out/no network avail check your internet for me. i've changed repo etc and some reason i keep going back to u.s repos when i'm in canada. it even gave me a french repo when choosing pick best so another odd issue. just a heads up.

Seems like I need to get on the ball, I will not really be able to do much until late November. I will be looking at the kernels for an update. I really do not like the 4.15 stuff at this time. Personally the 4.13 hwe kernel is working well for me and my hardware. I may build new computer to look at things with new hardware.

Hi; While these drivers are in synaptic and not the driver manager you can upgrade to it and have it work on 4.18.16 kernel will try on 4.19 the only issue is I had to use sudo apt --fix-broken install after getting lib nvidia-compute i386and amd64 installed via dpkg -i cause they would not download. they failed. i'll include them here if you want to install these are the 18.04 versions not 18.10. i'm on it now and all seems well. will try with 4.19 kernel.

I'm still on my 3.5 version that has the 16.04 base but looks like the new release. I am thinking that it is a bad package description that is resulting in this. I am hoping this is the case and not a bad package. The 18.04 base is going to have some growing pains until around next summer I believe so that is the reason I actually recommend staying on the old base until things get sorted out. That advice is for production machines or something you need to work all the time.
