Software Issues / Re: SG6 install - zfs
« Last post by afeher on June 15, 2020, 04:45:28 AM »
I belive, it is not a ZFS problem. I used ZFS on fedora more than 5 years without any problem. it is problem of the  install script, in the case of ZFS selection.

That is the Ubiquity installer that is standard on Ubuntu 20.04 base distros. I have plans on removing it completely and either finding a different installer or move on from Ubuntu as this release drove me crazy trying to fix things. ZFS is still experimental on Ubuntu no matter what they say.

I completely agree the Ubuntu installer is not the best but was easier than to rewrite an installer. I am ditching the Ubiquity Installer to move towards something more reliable and user friendly. I suggest looking into alternate methods to install on a different hard drive. If you installed via UEFI then this tool might help fix things and possible be able to install to any hard drive.

Release Announcements / SuperGamer V6 Release
« Last post by Darin on June 02, 2020, 08:27:24 AM »
I will be uploading a new release shortly. Here is the description of the changes......

I am proud to announce the release of the SuperGamer v6. This is using the new 20.04 base. I have included some Games as well as Game Manager Installers. This release is going forward with the 5.6.14 kernel built for Low Lattency and unpatched. Nvidia drivers work from the Installer on this Kernel. I also included some more wallpapers and fixed some of the Ryzen 3 onboard graphics issues.  This should work for both Legacy and UEFI but as always your mileage may vary with different motherboards and BIOS's.

General Discussion / Re: howto change brightness?

There are several tools but I need to know what version you are using first and if you are using a laptop or desktop. With a desktop you can just adjust your monitor without having to install anything but I will post a link that might help you. You can try the power manager in settings to see if that helps.

Software Issues / Re: Hash Keys Do Not Match

Redownload the iso please as the iso was built and the md5sum and sha256 files were created at the same time and they do match to what was uploaded. Do not install anything that does not match as that is a real possibility that it was tampered with or corrupted from the download.
Software Issues / Hash Keys Do Not Match
« Last post by Ether_Neither on April 04, 2020, 09:02:34 PM »
I am reluctant to install and run the newest Supergamer.iso to my system, due to the hash keys not matching when I try to verify them with both Gtkhash as well as manually.  Can someone else check this iso to be sure it has not been tampered with?  The MD5 is matching manually only. and the 256sum does not match manually or automatically with Gtkhash.
